GYOML in a field took place on Heysham Barrows near St Peters Church and was performed by p-tex on Saturday 19th Aug 2006 at 7.30pm achieving a live audio stream and a short performance from 7.49pm on the evening of the performance. Despite terrntial rain there were about 25 visitors to the site, with about 10 of these merely stumbling into the performance, showing great interest, curiosity and of course perceverance.

the team arrived at the location in a continuous downpour of severe rain from around 4pm. the rain continued for the next 2-3 hours while the team battled against the elements to set all equipment up. moisture was their main rival, causing much of the electrical equipment to fuse. the power storage in the back up batteries soon was lost, finding out around 6 o'clock that the alternator was now only offering only a 1 volt output, as apposed to it's original 14 volts. click here to continue
